DPF CLEANING EXPERTS

The Advanced DPF Cleaning network are independent DPF specialists that can accurately diagnose your DPF problem and any underlying faults that have caused the problem.

Our process will start with a full in Depth diagnostic test and general inspection of the vehicle, the diagnostic checks will show us any issue that are causing the DPF not to function correctly and the general inspection will give us an idea of the vehicle history.Once we have done our checks and replaced any part if needed we will then perform our stage 3 DPF clean, Then the final part is to do a road test with logging the DPF data to check everything is work as it should.

A full in depth diagnostics will be our first point of action, In this diagnostic session we will be checking that  key components and sensors are functioning correctly, In these checks we may identify key components that  have failed and will need to be replaced  before any DPF cleaning process can be done to ensure of  a successful clean. We stock various  DPF sensors, pipe’s etc  so that we can quickly have you back on the road in the event that your DPF problem is actually a component failure.

Using our unique cleaning system, We will inject into the pre DPF pressure line the first part of the cleaning solution and allow to  soak for a period of time. The engine will then be ran at a fast idle allowing the soak fluid to clean the DPF Filter. This is then followed by a further two  cleaning solutions and fast idle allowing the cleaning solution to remove carbon/soot from the DPF filter.

live data is then checked on a road test or DPF regeneration. In these final checks we will log key parameters and  components are functioning  correctly. We will also  compare pre and post DPF pressure reading and past the information on to you for your peace of mind. Finally, our  stage three DPF cleaning process is now complete.

WHAT IS THE DPF'S PURPOSE?

The DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) is designed to remove soot particles from your exhaust emissions and has been widely fitted to diesel engined vehicles since around 2003 in response to EU legislation concerning emissions.

As with any filter, the DPF needs to be clean and clear to work properly, so it’s designed to rid itself of accumulated soot through a process called ‘regeneration’.

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

The DPF has to be at an optimum temperature for regeneration to take place, and this can only be achieved with the vehicle fully warmed up for extended periods such as on longer trips.

If the engine spends most of its time warming up or starting from cold such as in vehicles used for lots of start/stop driving, then the DPF can’t regenerate as it either doesn’t reach its optimum temperature or can’t maintain it for long enough.

In these cases, the DPF clogs up and can’t filter the soot properly. The result is a vehicle not only emitting sooty particulate matter into the air but suffering a likely drop off in power and excessive fuel consumption.

HOW TO PREVENT

If you know your driving will mainly be shorter trips, then periodic (around monthly) longer runs allowing the engine to reach and maintain its optimum temperature will help keep your DPF clear through regeneration.
